What kind of rubber do you carry?
Our rubber is 4mm in thickness except for the rubber we use for the no edge shoes which is XS grip 2 but thinner.
Vibram XS Grip – Offers a balance between durability, edging, and grip on any surface. Found on Tenaya shoes and older versions of La Sportiva and Scarpa.
Vibram XS Grip 2 – The evolution of XS Grip, sticky rubber geared towards smearing, moderate edging, hard bouldering and overhanging routes. Examples of shoes found on: La Sportiva Solution and Scarpa Drago.
Vibram XS Edge – The high performance edging rubber for standing on the smallest of edges. Good for hard multipitch and steep edgy sport. Examples of shoes found on: La Sportiva Muria and Scarpa Vapor VS.
Unparalleled RH – Slightly stiffer than XS2 but sticky as a pot of honey, this rubber is equivalent to the old Steal C4 compound. High end rubber with a balanced capacity for edging and smearing. Found on the new Unparralleled line of shoes. This is our newest rubber to offer and we are in love with it.

Do I need my rands repaired?
Probably yes, about 85% of resoles require the rand to be repaired. Sometimes this can only be judged when the resoling process begins. You can indicate on your order form that you would like to be checked in with before work begins. Shoes that have been previously resoled with a rand replacement will require the rand to be repaired again.
What else can you fix?
Velcro straps, laces, worn out/cracked midsoles, pull tabs, holes, make shoe -1/2 EU, tidy up delaminating bits, poor humor.
Can you fix shoes with holes in the toes?
Sometimes we can but often at a charge to you that makes it not worth while. The best thing for longevity of your shoes is to send them in for repair before holes appear. Larger holes are the number one reason we can no longer repair shoes.
If you are unsure about the condition of your shoes send us an email and we can let you know if they are fixable before you send them in.
Can you fix only one of my shoes?
We do not fix singular shoes, except for adaptive climbers.
Can you repair No Edge shoes?
Yes, Absolutely.
How much does it cost?
The cost depends on the style of shoe, rubber and extent of repair. Usually a resole with rand repair costs about $90+ tax but check our services and rates for specific pricing. If you still have unanswered questions send us a email and we will give you an estimate for the work.
Why do TC pros cost more to repair?
TC Pro’s are far more labour and material intensive to repair than your average climbing shoe.
How do I pay for my invoice?
All Invoices are payable via INTERAC E-transfer.
Unfortunately we do not accept payments via PayPal, credit or debit at this time.
Invoices are due upon receipt and we appreciate prompt payment. Your shoes are available after you have paid.
What is Fun is for Losers all about?
Take us for a beer, maybe we will tell you. Maybe we wont, either way we’d appreciate the beer.
